Court's toughness on Corona: After 3 days Bombay High Court, MP High Court, Allahabad, and Delhi High Court, now-Supreme Court raises questions on the government

The Supreme Court has now shown strictness regarding the rising cases of Corona and the deteriorating situation. The court has taken notice of the shortage of oxygen, ventilators, beds, and essential medicines in hospitals across the country. Chief Justice SA Bobde said on Thursday that the situation was scary. The central government should give a national plan on 4 issues. The matter will now be heard on 23 April.

 

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court, which is hearing the same matter, has also given instructions to the government. The HC said that the Center should strictly follow its orders. If the government wants, the earth and sky can unite.

 

Hearing in 6 High Court can lead to Confusion- SC

 

A three-judge bench headed by CJI SA Bobde said, 'We are seeing that the hearing is going on in six different high courts i.e. Delhi, Bombay, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Calcutta, and Allahabad High Court on issues like Corona and Oxygen. . This may lead to confusion. ”The bench asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to state a national plan on the issue. Tell the High Courts about this too.

 

The Chief Justice said that the Supreme Court is looking into 4 issues - supply of oxygen, supply of essential medicines, mode of vaccination, states' right to impose lockdown. The Supreme Court said that we want the right of lockdown to be with the states, it should not be a judicial decision. Nevertheless, we will consider the judicial rights of the High Court to impose lockdown.

The Bombay High Court has taken notice of the shortage of Remadecivir in Maharashtra. The Nagpur bench of the court on Monday questioned the central government on what basis these injections were being distributed to the states? The court said that if Maharashtra has 40% corona patients in the country, then they should also be given Remedesvir accordingly. The High Court also reprimanded the Maharashtra government.

 

The court said that the district is being distributed as arbitrary Remedisvir. Why did the Maharashtra government not send a single vial (vial) of Remdesvir to Nagpur on 13 April and 18 April? The court directed the state government to send 10,000 doses to Nagpur by 8 pm on Monday. On April 22, that is today, once again, the High Court hit the state government for non-compliance with the court's order. The Nagpur bench of the High Court also said during the hearing that it is ashamed of being part of this 'wicked and evil' society. The High Court also said that it is unable to do anything for the coronavirus patients in Maharashtra.

 

19 April 2021: Allahabad High Court orders lockdown in 5 cities of UP

On Monday, the Allahabad High Court held a hearing on video conferencing regarding the rising cases of corona in Uttar Pradesh. During this time, the division bench of Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Ajit Kumar ordered the lockdown in the five most affected Covid-19 cities of the state, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, and Gorakhpur by April 26, but the government accepted it Was refused. This decision was challenged in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had stayed the High Court order.

 

April 20, 2021: Madhya Pradesh High Court said - Remedesvir received in hours, not in days

MP High Court has commented on the negligence in the treatment of corona infects in Madhya Pradesh. The court has issued a 49-page detailed order to the central and state government and issued a 19-point guideline. In the order, the High Court said, 'We cannot see all this as a mute spectator. The government should provide Remedisvir injection in the hospital in one hour to the serious patients of Corona. The central government should increase the production of Remadecivir. Import if needed. The High Court said that it should also be decided that private hospitals should not charge arbitrary amounts in the name of treatment.

 

April 21, 2021: Delhi High Court told the government - beg, borrow or steal, but bring oxygen

The Delhi High Court strongly reprimanded the central government on Wednesday 21 April. The court directed the Center to immediately stop the oxygen supply of the industries. The court was hearing a petition filed for lack of oxygen at Max Hospital. The court said that the first right to oxygen belongs to the patients.

 

A bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli said that it is the responsibility of the central government to ensure the supply of oxygen to the hospitals for the patients. In such a situation, how can the government be so careless? You beg, borrow or steal, but bring oxygen, we cannot see patients dying.

 

April 22, 2021: Kolkata High Court said - can not escape by issuing guidelines
