Covid hospital fire: Most of the dead were on ventilator, CM Uddhav rescued the hospital in the mall

10 people have died due to the massive fire in the Covid-19 hospital on the third floor of Sunrise Mall in Mumbai. The fire, which started at about noon in the night, has been controlled. Meanwhile, CM Uddhav Thackeray has visited the spot and mourned the accident. CM Uddhav Thackeray also replied to the questions arising on walking into the hospital in the mall and said that hospitals were built according to the need. On the question raised on the NOC for running the hospital, Uddhav Thackeray said that it was running according to the rules and the NOC was given till March 31 to run the hospital. He said that this incident is very sad and we could not save those who were on ventilators for the treatment of corona.

 

Announcement of compensation of Rs 5 lakh: During this time, CM Uddhav Thackeray has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who died in the accident. CM Uddhav Thackeray said after visiting the spot, 'Strict action will be taken against those responsible for this incident. The families of the deceased will be compensated.

 

CM Uddhav Thackeray apologized: Most of the people who died in this accident were on the waiting or. I express my condolences to the families of those killed in the accident and apologize on my behalf. On the question of running the hospital in the mall, CM Uddhav Thackeray said that due to the increasing cases of corona, hospitals were built according to need. There was no disturbance in its operation.

 

The mayor expressed surprise, CM said- Everything was fine: However, the statement of CM Uddhav Thackeray is in contrast to Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, who expressed surprise over the running of Covid Hospital on one floor of the mall. Meanwhile, BJP says that NOC was not taken to run Covid-19 hospital here. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prashant Kadam, around 22 fire tenders reached the hospital to extinguish the flames. There were 76 corona infected in this hospital, which is located on the third floor of a mall. Currently, the reasons for the fire have not been revealed and an inquiry has been ordered for the same.
