Amidst the apprehension of a new variant, children in the district have once again come under the grip of corona infection. On Tuesday, the Health Department confirmed a total of eight children from Delhi Public School, JVM Global School, Shri Ram Millennium School, and other schools to be positive.

District Surveillance Officer Manoj Kushwaha says that eight school children are also there in Tuesday's corona investigation report. Two of these children have received the vaccine. CMO Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma said that the list of 13 children and three teachers of Khaitan School being infected was received from the school management. The management has closed the school as a precautionary measure till April 17. However, online classes will continue. In which lab the children studying in the school have been tested, is being inquired. Currently, symptomatic patients are being screened. Other schools have been instructed to exercise caution.

Cross-examination of children found positive will be done

After the children studying in private schools are found infected, preparations are being made by the Health Department to conduct cross-examination of such children as a precautionary measure. Children studying in many schools in the district are getting infected one after the other. The department has received information that the parents themselves are examining the children by purchasing the Koviself kit from the market. After investigation, many parents file reports and many do not. At the same time, many parents are afraid to send their children to school in the summer. Therefore, preparations are being made for cross-examination.

On the other hand, Dr. Tritiya Saxena, Critical Care Unit in Incharge of Noida Kovid Hospital, said that on Sunday, two children were admitted to the hospital on complaints of mild symptoms. At that time the reports of both were antigen positive. RT-PCR test has been done on Monday, the report is awaited. However, both have been discharged after getting better.
