Cyclone Nisarga in Maharashtra is going to knock between 1 pm and 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Already, many coastal areas of Maharashtra have started raining with strong winds. The cyclone is expected to intensify in the coming hours. Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has given some important information for the common people regarding the cyclone nature.

The Maharashtra government has asked people to do some things and not do anything during the cyclone. The government has said that before the cyclone, if there are such things outside the house, which can cause damage in strong winds, then either tie them well or keep them indoors.

Keep important documents and jewelery in a plastic bag. Keep up to date on updates about the cyclone nature on radio and TV. At the same time, keep your mobile phone, laptop and other important things charged.

As per the guidelines issued by the government, keep the emergency kit ready before the arrival of the cyclone. Maintain proper distance from windows. At the same time, close some windows of the house and open some so that the air can come through well.

Stay away from the corners of the house and stay in the center of the room as much as you can. At the same time, if the problem is more, then hold it well under a stool or table and then sit down. If you are living in the open and you have time, then go to some place where you can get a roof. Apart from this, store drinking water too. In addition, fishermen have been asked to tie their boat well. Also, keep a radio set with you.

Know what not to do during a cyclone

As per the guidelines issued by the government, do not pay any heed to the rumors related to the cyclone. During this time also do not drive. Stay away from buildings under construction. Do not take the injured anywhere else until it is completely safe to take them there. Fishermen do not go to the sea shore.
