
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on a two-day visit on May 26. During this, he will unveil the country's first 9,000 horsepower locomotive engine. He will also participate in a roadshow and several programs. State government officials said on Wednesday that PM Modi will attend several programs in Dahod, Bhuj, Vadodara, and Gandhinagar after arriving at Vadodara airport at around 10 am on Monday.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation Standing Committee Chairman Sheetal Mistry said that Vadodara Municipal Corporation has planned a kilometer-long roadshow near the airport to welcome the Prime Minister and congratulate him for the success of Operation Sindoor. PM Modi will stay at the airport for about 15 minutes and leave for his main program in Dahod district.
In Dahod, the Prime Minister will visit the railway locomotive manufacturing unit and unveil the country's first 9,000 horsepower locomotive engine manufactured there. This unit has been established with an investment of Rs 20,000 crore. The Dahod railway factory, set up under the PPP model, will produce 1,200 engines in the next 10 years.
These engines are capable of carrying up to 4600 tonnes of cargo.
A major feature of these engines is that they are capable of carrying up to 4,600 tonnes of cargo. The locomotive engine will have air conditioning and toilet facilities for drivers. Apart from this, an advanced cover system has been installed to enhance safety and prevent accidents. The average speed of the 9,000 HP, 6-axle electric engine will be 75 km per hour.
