Delhi Firecrackers Fine: Arvind Kejriwal's government is alert because of air pollution in Delhi. Now the Delhi government has informed about a new rule regarding the burning and buying of firecrackers in the capital. Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that buying and burning firecrackers in Delhi can attract a fine of Rs 200 and imprisonment for six months.

Along with this, he said that those manufacturing, storing, and selling firecrackers in the capital could be imprisoned for three years and fined up to Rs 5,000. Gopal Rai said that a total of 408 parties were formed to implement the ban on firecrackers in Delhi on Diwali.
The Delhi government has banned firecrackers so that the air quality does not deteriorate during the festival and winter season. The Delhi government imposed a complete ban on the production, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers, including Diwali, till January 1, which has been observed for the last two years.
