IMD has issued heavy rain warnings in many states including Kerala and Tamil Nadu today. A yellow alert has been issued in 7 states today. Talking about Delhi, today, on October 20, 2022, the sky will be clear. The minimum temperature can be recorded at 18 degrees and the maximum temperature is 34 degrees.

 

Rain alert in these states today

According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on October 20, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in some parts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa, and Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in 7 states. According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Kerala for three days. According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rains may occur over Lakshadweep, Andaman, the Nicobar Islands, and Interior Karnataka today. Light to moderate rain is possible over Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

 

Snowfall is forecast with rain in two-three days

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, where there is rain in Madhya Maharashtra and the western Himalayan region, there is going to be snowfall in the next two-three days. This can have an impact on the northwestern regions. This can also have an impact on Rabi cultivation. According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with light snow is possible in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand.

 

Cyclone forming in the Bay of Bengal

According to the Meteorological Department, a tropical cyclone is likely to form over the West Central Bay of Bengal around October 23 or 24. IMD's Bhubaneswar center said in a statement that on Monday, a cyclonic circulation over South Andaman Sea and neighborhood now persists over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining areas. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is very likely to form over the southeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. For this reason P. Along with Bengal, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. According to Skymet Weather, the effect of the storm forming in the Bay of Bengal will be visible over North Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, and Gangia West Bengal. The weather will remain dry and hot over Northwest and Central India. Days can become very hot with strong sunshine over Gujarat and West Rajasthan.

 

The danger of pollution in Delhi increased

The threat of pollution has increased in Delhi after rain activities stopped. Yesterday the average AQI of Delhi was recorded at 228, which falls in the poor category. At the same time, an AQI of 230 has also been recorded in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Talking about today, even this morning it has been registered in the poor category. The AQI reached 393 in Delhi's Anand Vihar in the morning.

 

How will the weather be in Uttar Pradesh?

In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, today the minimum temperature will be 20 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Ghaziabad today will be 19 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees. The sky is likely to remain clear at both Lucknow and Ghaziabad.
