The lockdown is in force till May 10 in Delhi to control the coronavirus infection. During this time many restrictions are in place and most of the offices are also closed. Along with this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has also taken a big decision because of protecting its passengers from Corona. DMRC has decided to change the schedule of its metro trains and it has become effective from Monday itself. After these decisions, metro passengers will have to wait for 15 to 20 minutes and at some selected interchanges for 30 minutes. Obviously, due to the lockdown, the journey of Delhi Metro will not be the same as before. This is the reason that the interval of a meeting of metro trains has been increased. According to the announcement of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Metro services will continue from morning till night, but only 4-4 hours can be traveled in the morning and evening.
Metro train will operate at an interval of every 15 minutes
Following DMRC's decisions, the Delhi Metro will now operate at intervals of every 15 minutes between 7 am and 11 am and again from 4 pm to 8 pm. It is evident that due to this decision of DMRC, passengers will have to wait a little longer for metro trains.
There will be a wait of 30 minutes at select metro stations
According to DMRC, even during the lockdown i.e. the upcoming May 10, trains will have to wait for 15 to 20 minutes while changing the stations of the metro. At the same time, some select interchange will have to wait for 30 minutes.
