Earlier there were reports that Fadnavis may take over as CM tomorrow. Meanwhile, Devendra Fadnavis and rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde have met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. In this meeting, both the leaders staked claim to form the government in the state. The BJP has a total of 106 MLAs, while Eknath Shinde has also claimed the support of 49 members, including rebels and independents of Shiv Sena.
Today, Eknath Shinde had reached Mumbai from Goa and then reached the house of former CM Devendra Fadnavis. Then both of them went out together to meet the governor. Eknath Shinde has come alone from Goa, while the other rebel MLAs are still staying at the Taj Hotel there. According to BJP sources, there could be a total of 28 ministers from the BJP camp, including senior leaders including Ashish Shelar, Sudhir Mungantiwar, and Chandrakant Patil. Apart from this, 13 ministerial posts can go to Eknath Shinde Camp. Of these, 8 cabinet ministers can be made. Apart from this, 5 people can be given the post of Minister of State. The BJP's national executive meeting is going to be held in Hyderabad from July 2.
