Jyotiraditya was considered very close to the Gandhi family. There was a time when it was said that Jyotiraditya Scindia is behind most of Rahul's decisions. But in 2020 suddenly Jyotiraditya left both Congress and Rahul and joined BJP. Scindia was made a Rajya Sabha MP by the BJP and then a cabinet minister. Now Scindia is handling the Civil Aviation Ministry in the Modi cabinet. Scindia not only came to the BJP from the Congress, but it was only with his help that the BJP returned to power in Madhya Pradesh.

2. Jitin Prasad: Jitin Prasad was the second biggest face in the core committee of Rahul Gandhi. In 2021, Jitin also dealt a blow to Congress and Rahul Gandhi and joined BJP. Jitin was made MLC by BJP and given the responsibility of Technical Education Ministry in Yogi cabinet. Jitin is one of the big Brahmin faces of BJP in UP.

3. Sushmita Dev: Sushmita Dev, who was a strong pillar of Congress in Assam, also left the party in 2021. Now she has joined TMC. Sushmita, who was one of the youth faces of Congress, was considered very close to Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. His father himself Santosh Mohan Dev was elected Lok Sabha MP from Silchar seat five times and Tripura West twice. Rahul had handed over the command of the Mahila Congress to Sushmita. Nowadays Sushmita is included in the youth leaders of Trinamool Congress.

4. Ashok Tanwar: Ashok Tanwar, one of the big and young faces of Congress in Haryana, also said goodbye to the party in 2019. Ashok was considered very close to Rahul Gandhi. He was also made the President of the Haryana Pradesh Congress by Rahul. Ashok had made a big allegation on the party regarding ticket distribution. Nowadays Ashok is in Trinamool Congress. Trinamool has given a big responsibility to Ashok in the Goa elections.

5. Aditi Singh: Aditi Singh, MLA from Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of Sonia Gandhi, recently left the Congress. This was the biggest setback for Congress. Aditi's family was considered very close to the Gandhi family. Aditi was also included in the core committee of Rahul Gandhi. She was also with Priyanka after she came to UP, but later Aditi left the Congress and joined the BJP.

6. Lalitesh Pati Tripathi: The BJP and Trinamool Congress harmed the Congress and the Gandhi family the most. Lalitesh Pati Tripathi, one of the big faces of Congress in Uttar Pradesh, also left the Gandhi family. Baba Pt. Kamalapati Tripathi of Lalitesh was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Railway Minister in Indira Gandhi's government. The Tripathi family was with the Congress from the very beginning. Lalitesh's father Rajesh Pati Tripathi was also a minister in UP. Last month, Lalitesh also left the Congress and joined the Trinamool Congress. At present, no role of Lalitesh in TMC has been decided, but it is being said that soon Lalitesh's father Rajesh Pati Tripathi can be sent to Rajya Sabha. Apart from this, if the SP government is formed in UP, then Lalitesh can get a ministerial post. Mamta Banerjee has supported SP in UP.

Imran came into the limelight in 2014 by making a statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now he has joined Samajwadi Party, although SP has not given a ticket to Imran. There was news of Imran getting angry in the middle, but later Imran calmed down after meeting Akhilesh Yadav. It is said that Akhilesh has promised to make Imran an MLC after the elections and make him a minister.

9. Priyanka Chaturvedi: Priyanka Chaturvedi, who was a part of Rahul Gandhi's team and spoke in the media as a spokesperson of Congress, also left the party before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Priyanka has been made a Rajya Sabha MP by Shiv Sena.

Why are young leaders leaving Congress?

Senior journalist Ashok Srivastava points out that since 2014, the graph of the Congress has been steadily declining. This also raised questions on the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. This is the reason why young Congress leaders are worried about their future. Within the last two years, there has been a breakdown in Congress, which is the result of it. It is not that only young leaders are troubled by the Congress leadership. Senior leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kapil Sibal, Manish Tiwari are also on the sidelines. Congress is giving it the name of change, while the reality is that this breakdown of Congress can cause more damage to the party in the coming days. On one hand, BJP will get the benefit of this and on the other hand, Mamta Banerjee is trying to make her mark at the national level.
