Dispute on caste: Sameer Wankhede presents cast certificate in SC commission in Delhi, the commission seeks report from Maharashtra government

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede reached Delhi on Monday following allegations by Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government. He reached the Scheduled Castes Commission (NCSC) and submitted the documents related to his cast. He also met the chairman of the commission, Vijay Sampla. Malik had accused Wankhede of being a Muslim and said that he had hidden his caste.

Earlier, Sameer Wankhede had met NCSC Vice-Chairman Arun Halder on Saturday. On Sunday, Halder had met Sameer's father Gyandev Wankhede at his house. Raising questions on this, Malik has asked to complain about Halder to the President.

Malik's allegation - got a false cast certificate made for the job

Malik had alleged that to get the job, Wankhede had made a false caste certificate of a Dalit despite being a Muslim. Meanwhile, after meeting the chairman of the commission, Wankhede reached the office in Delhi to meet the DDG NCB. Let us inform you that the Vigilance Wing of NCB is probing the allegation of bribery of 25 crores against Wankhede. Prabhakar Sail, a witness in the cruise drugs case, has alleged that at the behest of Wankhede, another witness in the same case, KP Gosavi, demanded a bribe of 25 crores from Shahrukh Khan in exchange for releasing Aryan.

We have sought a probe report from the Maharashtra government in 7 days

National Commission for Scheduled Castes Chairman Vijay Sampla said on today's meeting, “Today NCB officer Sameer Wankhede came to meet me. They had also filed a complaint on October 29, based on which we have issued notice to the Home Secretary and other officials of Maharashtra and sought their reply within 7 days. Today he has given us all the documents related to his religion and married life. We have sent it to the Maharashtra government and if all these documents are found to be correct, they should not worry. Sameer Wankhede said that he comes from Scheduled Caste. He has given all the relevant documents to the commission.

On Sunday, Arun Halder had assured Sameer's father that his family would not be harassed anymore. The VC of NCSC had said that action will be taken after an investigation in the matter. During this Halder had said, "Can any officer put fake certificates before the commission? Do we have no experience? According to my experience, he (Sameer Wankhede) cannot present fake certificates, because it will help him." The job will be gone. He further said that we have asked the Maharashtra government to submit a report in 7 days in this entire matter.

Ramdas Athawale also supported Wankhede

Earlier on Sunday, Samir Wankhede's wife Kranti and father Gyandev met Republican Party chief Ramdas Athawale. After this meeting, Athawale termed all the allegations against Wankhede as baseless. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said that there are deliberate attacks on Sameer Wankhede. His personal life is being attacked and he is being deliberately maligned.

He had said, “Gyandev Wankhede has shown us the document that his wife was a Muslim, she belongs to Mahar caste. He has also shown us the documents related to this.

Will complain to President of SC commission's vice-chairman: Malik

Nawab Malik said- SC commission vice-chairman Arun Halder was also made serious allegations by Nawab Malik. On Monday, Malik said that Arun Halder has forgotten the dignity of his post. He further said that Halder's attitude is suspicious. They go to the house of a man who is accused of hiding his caste. Shockingly, a person holding a legal position behaves like this. If the cast certificate of someone is fake, then the Schedule Cast Commission does not have the right to check it. We will complain about this whole incident to the President. Arun Halder will have to tell him what is in such a hurry.
