Dr. Harsh Vardhan told 7 states - focus on reducing deaths; Modi spoke to WHO chief

The country's Union Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, on Wednesday, asked the 7 state governments to focus on preventing deaths from Corona. These states include Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Goa. The Health Minister held video conferencing with Chief Ministers, Health Ministers, and officers of several states for this.

 

Dr. Harsh Vardhan asked for concrete steps within the next 24, 48, or 72 hours. He said testing should also be increased in these states. Especially in cities where the covid positivity rate is high. The Health Minister asked the administrative officers to focus on areas where there is more crowd.

 

PM Modi talks to WHO chief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday called World Health Organization (WHO) chief T.A. Talked to Gebreyes. It agreed to fight together against Covid-19 globally. According to the statement issued by the PMO, Prime Minister Modi praised the functioning of the WHO. Modi told the WHO chief that among Corona, other diseases should not be diverted. The war against them will have to continue in this way.

86.84 lakh cases so far

 

So far 86 lakh 84 thousand 39 people in the country have been infected. Among these, 4 lakh 89 thousand 428 patients are being treated, while 80 lakh 64 thousand 548 people have been cured. The number of those who lost their lives due to infection has now gone to 1 lakh 28 thousand 164.

 

West Bengal government's big decision

 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken a big decision on Wednesday because of the increasing cases of Corona. In the next year i.e. 2021, students of 10th and 12th will be passed without exams. The State Education Department has also issued an order for this.

 

Corona updates

 

The Delhi High Court has reprimanded the Kejriwal government for loosening public restrictions and transport-related restrictions. The court said - the pace of infection in Delhi has become uncontrollable. Does the government have any strategy to deal with it? The court also sought a status report from the government on the measures taken to prevent corona in the last two weeks.

 

The High Court said on Wednesday that the Corona cases in the capital are continuously increasing. Results of the serosurvey showed that every fourth human being in Delhi has been infected. The urban state of Delhi is overtaking Kerala and Maharashtra in terms of infection. Other states are increasing restrictions, but the Delhi government is relaxing the rules by blowing all the precautions in the air.

 

The Gujarat government has decided to open a school-college in the state from 23 November. State Education Minister Bhupendra Singh gave this information.

 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the third wave of Corona in Delhi could last for long. It may also have more cases than the previous one.

 

The Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to the state government on the worsening situation in the state from Corona. The court has asked the state government to file a reply by 13 November. Asked what steps you are taking to prevent corona?

 

Corona testing figures in the country have crossed 12 crores. Of these, 7.10% of people have been infected. In the initial 20 million tests, the maximum number of 18.04 lakhs infected were found. After this, 16.57 lakh people reported positive in 3 to 4 crore tests. This time the least 8.33 lakh people were infected in 11 to 120 million tests.

 

Rapid active cases in the country

 

The number of patients being treated for corona in the country has come down to five lakh. However, it took 12 days from six lakhs to five lakhs. On September 17, the maximum number of active cases was 10.17 lakh, since then it has been steadily declining. On September 21, there were 9.75 lakh active cases. These increased to 8.93 lakhs on 8 October. It took 17 days to reduce this gap of about one lakh.

 

State of five states

 

1. Madhya Pradesh

 

883 corona patients were found in the state on Wednesday. 691 people were recovered and 13 infected died. So far, 1 lakh 79 thousand 951 people have been infected. Of these, 8328 patients are being treated, while 1 lakh 68 thousand 568 people have been cured. So far, 3055 patients have died due to infection.

 

2. Rajasthan

 

On Wednesday, 2080 people were found corona infected in the state. With this, the number of patients has now increased to 2 lakh 17 thousand 151. Of these, 16 thousand 993 patients are being treated, while 1 lakh 98 thousand 139 people have been cured. So far 2019 patients have died due to infection.

 

3. Bihar

 

Within the last 24 hours, 702 people were found to be corona infected. With this, the number of patients has now increased to 2 lakh 24 thousand 977. Out of these 6392 patients are under treatment, while 2 lakh 17 thousand 422 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to the infection is now 1162.

 

4. Maharashtra

 

On Wednesday, 4907 new patients were found in the state. 9164 people were recovered and 125 infected died. So far, 17 lakh 31 thousand 833 people have been caught in the state. Of these, 88 thousand 70 patients are being treated, while 15 lakh 97 thousand 255 people have been cured. So far 45 thousand 560 people have died due to infection.

 

5. Uttar Pradesh

 

On Wednesday, the number of people recovering more from new patients also increased. Within the last 24 hours, 1848 people were found infected. 2112 people were recovered and 20 died. So far 5 lakh 3 thousand 159 people have been infected. In these, 22 thousand 562 patients are being treated. So far, 4 lakh 73 thousand 316 people have been cured. The number of people who lost their lives to infection has now reached 7281.
