
In Pakistan, 8 social media workers of Imran's party PTI have been arrested for campaigning on social media against Army Chief General Bajwa and Supreme Court judges. The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) made arrests from different parts of Punjab on Tuesday.
A no-confidence motion was passed against the Imran government late at night on 9 April. Since then, a campaign was being conducted on social media against General Bajwa and the judges of SC.
FIA gets a list of 50 people
The FIA had received a list of 50 people involved in the social media campaign, of which 8 have been arrested so far. In fact, after the fall of the Imran government, General Bajwa and the Supreme Court are being held responsible for the removal of Imran at the behest of America. Thousands of tweets and posts are being shared on social media against the two.
PTI will file a petition against the arrest
On the arrest of PTI workers, Asad Umar, a close aide of Imran, said – A petition has been prepared against the harassment of social media workers of our party. It will be filed in the High Court on Wednesday. Earlier, in a meeting of officers of the Pakistan Army held on Tuesday, there was a discussion on taking action against them in connection with the ongoing campaign on social media.

The Supreme Court, on 7 April, restored the National Assembly while ruling on the issue of dismissal of the no-confidence motion and dissolution of Parliament.
