When is International Friendship Day?

This day is celebrated on different dates in different countries. In fact, in many countries where friendship is celebrated on the first Sunday of August, it is celebrated internationally on 30 July. Talking about the history of this day, for the first time in the year 1958, it was proposed to celebrate this day in Paraguay. Later, considering this proposal, the United Nations declared 30 July as International Friendship Day and since then International Friendship Day has been celebrated in many countries on 30 July every year.

 

When is Friendship Day in India?

However, there are some countries where Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August instead of 30 July. The name of India is also included in these countries. Apart from India, Friendship Day is also celebrated on the first Sunday of August in countries like Malaysia, the United States of America (USA), the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bangladesh.
