New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday said the Election Commission (EC) has cleared all his doubts over tampering with the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
"EC cleared all our doubts about the EVM machine issue...they said that EVMs are all double-checked," Kejriwal told media here after meeting Chief Election Commissioner H.S. Brahma ahead of Saturday's elections to the 70-member Delhi assembly.
Kejriwal was accompanied by other AAP leaders Ashutosh and Ashish Khetan.
In a tweet, Kejriwal earlier said: "We suspect EVM tampering. Tried to meet CEC yesterday. He was busy. Hope we will be able to meet him today."
"We urge CEC to allow us to put a banner outside each booth educating voters about EVMs," it added.
The former Delhi chief minister Tuesday alleged that four EVM machines were found tampered with in the Delhi Cantonment constituency recently.
"Large-scale EVM tampering? Yesterday, during inspection of EVMs in Delhi Cant, in four machines, whatever button you pressed, light against BJP lit," the tweet added.
