Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to hold a press conference on 'Important Economic Issues' on Tuesday at 4.30 pm. According to a media advisory issued by the government, Sitharaman will hold a press conference on an important economic issue today at the National Media Center at 4.30 pm. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is currently holding pre-budget discussions with various stakeholders for the Union Budget 2022. She will present the budget on February 1.

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), India's largest insurer, may publish key details of its initial public offering (IPO) this month and start issuing public shares by mid-March. LIC's listing is set to be India's biggest IPO ever, with the government aiming to raise Rs 900 billion ($12.2 billion) through stake sale. LIC has a majority share in the life insurance market in India and the government expects the IPO to help bridge the deficit gap this financial year.

Let us inform you that amidst the serious challenge of the third wave of Corona and the political excitement of the elections of five states, the budget session of Parliament will start from January 31 and will run till April 8. During this, the Union Budget for the year 2022-23 will be presented on February 1. There will be two phases of the budget session, beginning with a joint address by President Ram Nath Kovind to both the houses of Parliament. Because of the busyness of political leaders and parties in the elections to the five states, the first phase of the budget session will go on for only 12 days from January 31 to February 11.

The Economic Survey for the current financial year will be presented in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the very first day after the joint session of both the houses of the President. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha on February 1 at 11 am. As the country's woman finance minister, Nirmala will make a record of presenting the general budget in Parliament for the fourth time in a row. This will also be the fourth of the second innings of the Modi government and the ninth consecutive budget since 2014.
