In such a situation, many travelers are also facing a lot of trouble. Those traveling in the first plane included paramilitary personnel, army personnel, students and expatriates, who were unable to get tickets for special trains run by the railways. Many people here said that they left for the airport much ahead of time due to the lack of public vehicles.

Happiness turned into sadness in a moment

Many flights have been canceled, many have been left behind for 10-12 hours. There were many passengers at Delhi airport who came to know that their flight was canceled. Naik Satish Kumar was supposed to fly to Kolkata and the plane to Kolkata did not take off as the state has decided not to resume air services till May 28. He said, 'I came here from Ambala for a plane going to Kolkata at six in the morning. When it arrived here, it was found that the flight was canceled. Now I am returning home.

 

About 80 flights taking off and landing from Delhi Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi have been canceled on the first day.

Sandeep Singh (19) is a student and studies in Dehradun, who took a ticket of Rs 5,500 to reach Delhi from Dehradun as trains are running full and interstate buses are not running. He said, 'I was in my PG. Parents were very concerned. I am returning home from the first flight.

 

Complete guidelines are being followed at the airport

 

On the first day of the resumption of domestic airline, on Monday, Delhi airport saw more security than usual. As per the rules, thermal screening is being done at the airport gate of the passengers. Passengers started entering the IGI airport at 2 pm. The passengers' luggage is being sanitized even before going inside. Announcements are also being made from loudspeakers repeatedly to keep people away. Gloves, masks and sanitizers were sold at airport shops. Flight Attendant was also seen wearing PPE kit.
