
The IPO of Global Health Limited, a company that runs a chain of hospitals in the country under the name of Medanta brand, will be launched next week. The company's IPO will open on November 3, 2022, and investors will be able to apply for it till November 7, 2022 (Monday). Soon the company will also reveal the price band of its IPO.
Global Health Limited is going to raise Rs 500 crore through an IPO fresh issue, for which the promoters of the company will sell shares under the offer for sale. The existing investors and promoters of the company are going to sell their stake in the company through an offer for sale. The company will pay off the outstanding debt from the proceeds to be raised through the IPO. Global Health Patiliputra Private Limited and Medanta Holdings Private Limited will pay the debt dues by the company through debt or equity.
Let us inform you that in the year 2004, Dr. Naresh Trehan, a well-known cardio surgeon in the country, started the hospital under the brand name Medanta. Medanta Hospital is a well-known name in the North and Eastern states of the country. The world's leading private equity investors have invested in Global Health Company, including Carlyle and Temasek Holdings. Both these holding companies hold 25.67% and 17% respectively. Dr. Naresh Trehan holds a 35 percent stake. While Sunil Sachdeva, co-founder of Medanta, holds 13.43 percent and RJ Corp holds 3.95 percent.
Let us inform you that in the year 2021-22, the revenue of the company was Rs 2206 crore. While the company's profit during this period was Rs 196 crore. The book-running lead managers of the Global Health Limited IPO are Kotak Mahindra Capital Company, Credit Suisse Securities, Jefferies India, and JM Financial. The shares of the company are expected to be listed on BSE and NSE on November 16, 2022.
