People said that a local candidate had given them coupons of two thousand rupees and asked them to get cash at the grocery store on the next day of polling.

Case filed against this candidate
The police investigated after receiving several complaints. During this time it was found out that Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) candidate Kanagaraj had distributed such coupons.
