Congress has made a ruckus against the central government against the increasing diesel-petrol prices and inflation in the country. Today, Congress workers across the country are protesting against the increased prices at petrol pumps. However, the party high command is keeping a distance from this demonstration. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi is not participating in this protest. At the same time, former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot is taking part in the protest in Rajasthan. Apart from this, many more senior leaders are also leading the protest in different cities.

Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal raised his voice against the wrong policies of the Center. He attacked the government fiercely.

Government should bring petrol and diesel under the ambit of GST - Congress

During the protest in Delhi, Congress leader KC Venugopal said that when UPA was in power, the tax on petrol and diesel was Rs 9.20 and now it is Rs 32 in the Modi government. We demand the government to withdraw the excise duty on petrol and diesel. Also, urge to bring petrol and diesel under the purview of GST.

Inflation and petrol-diesel prices broke the back of the public
