
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Defense Expo 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Wednesday. The objective of the program was focused on showcasing India's defense production capabilities. On this occasion, the PM laid the foundation stone of an airbase being built near the India-Pakistan border in East Gujarat. The PM said that it will emerge as an important center for the security of the country.
During the inauguration of the Defense Expo in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, the PM said that the airbase being built at Deesa in Banaskantha will prove to be important for the country's security system. This is the first Defense Expo in which only Indian companies are participating. There is only made-in-India defense equipment.
He said that this event of DefExpo 22 is drawing such a grand picture of New India, whose resolution we have taken in Amrit Kaal. It also has the development of the nation, the power, dreams, resolve, and courage of the youth, and it also has hope for the world. Today, from international security to global trade, maritime security has emerged as a global priority.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will launch Mission Schools of Excellence in Adalaj and lay foundation stones for various projects in Junagadh. Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Indian Urban Housing Conclave-2022 and will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several important projects in Rajkot. He will dedicate to the nation over 1,100 houses built under the Light House project. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate an exhibition in Rajkot.
