Hamas Israel War: 'Israel ready to stop the war a little, but...', know what PM Netanyahu said on the ceasefire

The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas is going to last for about a month. The chances of this war stopping are not visible far and wide. About 11 thousand people have died so far. Many countries are demanding Israel stop the attack citing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. On this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has clearly said that he will consider a brief pause in the war to allow aid to reach Gaza or to evacuate the hostages. However, despite increasing international pressure, Netanyahu once again rejected the demand for a ceasefire.

The need for security responsibility in the Palestinian territories

It is noteworthy that Israel has vowed that it will selectively eliminate every terrorist of Hamas. Netanyahu said he believed Israel would need to assume security responsibility over the Palestinian territories for an indefinite period after the war. On US efforts to stop the war due to the humanitarian crisis, the Israeli PM said that a general ceasefire would hinder his country's war efforts.

Netanyahu said on Monday that as far as short breaks are concerned - 'an hour here, an hour there', we have done this before also.

10,022 Palestinians died

Hamas says it will not free hostages or stop fighting while Gaza is under attack. The health ministry in the Hamas-controlled area said at least 10,022 Palestinians have been killed so far, including 4,104 children. International organizations have said hospitals cannot treat the injured. Food and clean water are running out and aid distribution is nowhere near sufficient. Washington is working hard to arrange a pause in the fighting to allow aid to enter. However, Israel has clearly said that it will not stop the war completely.
