A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) probing illegal stone mining in Haryana's Nuh district was on Tuesday crushed by a truck when he signaled to the driver to stop. The officers provided this information. He told that Surendra Singh had signaled a dumper-truck to stop to check the documents, but the driver crushed him while increasing his speed. He told that there have been frequent clashes between the members of the mining mafia and the police. DSP Singh was recruited to the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Haryana Police in 1994 and he was about to retire in a few months.
