The effect of Western Disturbance is being seen over North India for the last few days. It is expected to remain in effect till Tuesday. Baramulla's ski resort Gulmarg received six inches of snow, while Gurez and Machil received over 12 inches of snow. Due to heavy snowfall, remote villages in high altitude areas have been cut off from the district headquarters. The Meteorological Department said that there will be a partly cloudy sky in the state from Tuesday to Friday. There is a chance of light to moderate rain or snow on Saturday. However, there is no chance of any major snowfall till November 20.
