'Hey Devendra Fadnavis, remember me...', tiff begins in Maharashtra elections, Owaisi hits back at Deputy CM's statement.

The war of words has intensified in the campaign for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has hit back at BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' statement. Addressing an election rally, Owaisi said, 'Hey Devendra Fadnavis, you cannot compete with my tongue, you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah also sat together, still you cannot compete with my tongue.'

He further said, "Fadnavis said, hey Owaisi, he said vote jihad and religious war, we want to ask the Election Commission whether this statement is according to the law or against it. The Election Commission should answer this." Owaisi said that jihad and religious war are being mentioned by taking my name. Is this not against the law of the Election Commission? Is this not against the Model Code of Conduct? Should the Election Commission not take action on this?

The AIMIM chief also accused Devendra Fadnavis of buying MLAs. He said, "Devendra Fadnavis, you have bought many MLAs, should this be called theft or dacoity? Why did you let Maharashtra's project go to Gujarat? Are you scared of PM Modi? Will Manoj Jarange Patil's name come out of your mouth? Your tongue will falter."

What did Devendra Fadnavis say?

While addressing a gathering in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Deputy CM Fadnavis targeted Owaisi and said, "Vote jihad will have to be answered with Dharam Yudh." He said, "Listen, Owaisi, even if someone's father is born in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, he cannot change the name." Fadnavis said, "A woman from AIMIM said who is Sambhaji, how did it become Sambhaji Nagar here? He was the son of the lion Shiva, who was ready to die for his country and religion. There was only one king Shambhu, who was very brave and powerful."

He said that now the answer to vote jihad will have to be given through religious war. During the Lok Sabha elections, we saw how many posters and banners were put up at religious places, people were made to take oaths and were told that Modi had to be defeated. Vote jihad was done by saying all this. Because of this, we had to face defeat in many places and had to face defeat. The Deputy CM said that this time the answer to vote jihad will have to be given through religious war.
