New Delhi: Amid increasing cases of the corona, a large number of people are undergoing CT scans. Many people are having negative symptoms even after having corona symptoms, after which the doctors are advising them to get a CT scan. But AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria says that there is no need to have a CT scan if the corona has mild symptoms. Dr. Guleria says that CT scans can be harmful to health. After getting it, the chances of cancer can increase.

Dr. Guleria said, 'CT scan and biomarker are being misused. If there are mild symptoms then there is no use of a CT scan. A CT scan equals 300 chest x rays. It is very harmful. The director of AIIMS said that nowadays too many people are undergoing CT scans. When a CT scan is not needed, by doing it, you are harming yourself more because you are bringing yourself in contact with radiation. This can increase the chances of getting cancer later.

With this, Dr. Guleria advised the people living in home isolation to keep contacting their doctor. Saturation is getting 93 or less, there are situations like fainting, if you are having chest pain, contact the doctor immediately.
