The first cabinet expansion of the Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana took place on Tuesday. With this, the number of ministers in the Khattar cabinet has gone up to 14. which is the maximum. Both the ministers who took oath on Tuesday are crorepatis. Devendra Singh Babli, who was made minister from JJP quota, is 12th pass. At the same time, Dr. Kamal Gupta, who became a minister from the BJP quota, is a surgeon. Gupta did his Master of Surgery in 1980 from MD University Rohtak.

The average age of the cabinet increased

In 2019, when the Khattar cabinet was sworn in, the average age of the cabinet was 55.66  years. After the oath of two new ministers, now the average age of the cabinet has become 57.93 years. 75 years old Ranjit Singh Chautala is the oldest minister. Chautala is a minister from the independent quota. Ranjeet's nephew and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala is the youngest minister. Dushyant, 33, is a minister from the JJP quota. Among the new ministers, Kamal Gupta is 68 years old. At the same time, the age of Devendra Singh Babli is 51 years.

 

Three ministers 12th pass, three postgraduates

Devendra Singh Babli, who has been included in the cabinet, is 12th pass. Apart from Babli, Kanwar Pal and Kamlesh Dhanda are also 12th pass. 7 ministers including Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar are graduates. Dr. Banwari Lal is an MBBS graduate. Three ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautal, are postgraduates. These include Kamal Gupta and Moolchandra Sharma, who took oath on Tuesday. Kamal Gupta is a surgeon.

 

Only one woman in 14 ministers

21% i.e. 3 ministers are below 50 years of age.

 

7% i.e. there is only 1 woman minister in the Khattar cabinet.

 

0% means there is no criminal case against any minister.

 

Average assets of the cabinet also increased

The average assets of the cabinet have increased from 17.41 crores to 17.73 crores. Among the new cabinet ministers, Kamal Gupta had declared assets worth Rs 3.17 crore in the 2019 elections. At the same time, Devendra Singh Babli had declared assets of Rs 36.07 crore. All the 14 ministers in the cabinet are crorepatis. Among the ministers included in the cabinet, Anil Vij has the least assets of 1.17 crores. Agriculture Minister Jaiprakash Dalal has the highest assets of 76.75 crores.

 

Babli is also one of the richest ministers in the Khattar cabinet.
