
Because of the increasing cases of corona, the weekend lockdown has been imposed in nine districts of Haryana. These include Panchkula, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Rohtak, Karnal, Hisar, Sirsa, and Fatehabad. The lockdown will take place in these districts from 10 am on April 30 and will continue till 5 pm on Monday, May 3. These orders have been issued by the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority.
Educational institutions will remain closed till 31 May
Because of the corona infection, Vijay Vardhan, chairman of the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority, has issued new orders. Till May 31, all Anganwadis, crèches, government-non-government colleges, coaching institutes, ITIs, libraries, training institutes will remain closed. Women and Child Development Minister Kamlesh Dhanda said that all 25 thousand 962 Anganwadi centers and all the infant homes across the state have been approved to be closed till May 31.
In April itself, it was decided to keep the Anganwadi centers closed till 30 April. After this, the proposal to close Anganwadi centers and child houses operated for the care of working women by May 31 has been approved. The minister said that during this period, workers and assistants working at Anganwadi centers will ensure benefits to the nauhanihals, pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls.
