There was a partnership of 51 runs for the first wicket between him and KL Rahul.

Jaiswal contributed 87 runs, and Ravindra Jadeja contributed 89 runs. In response, the England team could only score 407 runs in the second innings, and India got a lead of 180 runs. Harry Brook scored 158, and Jamie Smith scored 184. Both of them added 303 runs for the sixth wicket.
