On December 9, the Chinese soldiers who came to infiltrate the Yangtse in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district did not expect that more than two hundred soldiers would have to face several hundred Indian soldiers within a few hours. This became possible because India has built a huge network of roads across the state in the last decade. India has started the work of constructing a 2,000-kilometer-long road from Tawang bordering Bhutan to Dong-Hawai via Upper Siang and Dabang Valley. With this, any action of China can be given a more befitting reply.
Increase in Chinese antics on LAC
Sources say that till a few years ago, Chinese soldiers used to enter the Indian border violating the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on their own and then returned on their own. But now it is not possible. This is the reason that earlier Chinese soldiers used to enter in a group of four-five but now they try to enter in 50-100 or even more numbers because they know that now they will have to face a large Indian contingent.
Deployment of heavy troops possible in a few hours
Explain that in any part of the entire state, India is now capable of gathering troops equal to or more than the number of Chinese troops within a short period. India's potential will increase further after the Frontier Highway is built near the McMahon Line. Its importance can also be understood from the fact that India will now be able to directly monitor the new villages that China has built on its side of the LAC.
There was already apprehension of Chinese action
Sources said that India was already apprehensive of disturbances from the Chinese side on the LAC adjacent to Arunachal Pradesh. In September, when China decided to withdraw its troops from eastern Ladakh, there was no specific response from India. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had described the withdrawal of Chinese and Indian troops as a reduction in the problem on the LAC. On the other hand, China's Foreign Ministry described it as ending the current military tension between the two countries.
