Hanuma Vihari returned to the pavilion after scoring three runs. Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for zero and Ravindra Jadeja scored 13 runs. India lost its fifth wicket at the score of 81. Bharat shared a 57-run partnership for the sixth wicket with former captain Virat Kohli. Virat became the victim of Roman Walker by scoring 33 runs in 69 balls with the help of four fours and a six. Walker demolished Bharat's top order. Walker took five wickets for 24 runs in 11 overs.
For Leicestershire, India's two fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna played. Bumrah got no wicket for 34 runs in nine overs while Krishna got one wicket for 37 runs in 10 overs. Krishna got Shreyas Iyer caught by wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. For Leicestershire, Will Davis took two wickets for 64 runs in 14 overs. 34 extra runs also contributed significantly to India's score.
