PM on Gujarat tour: PM Modi was seen sitting with children in class at the launch of School of Excellence in Gandhinagar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Gujarat from 19-20 October. The tour began with the inauguration of DefExpo22 by PM Modi at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. This was followed by the launch of the Mission School of Excellence in Adalaj. During this, PM Modi was seen sitting in the classroom with the children in the school. When PM Modi's convoy reached the school, the Prime Minister was welcomed by showering flowers.

 

During this, PM Modi said that now the education system has become smart and the education system of Gujarat has improved. In his address after launching the Mission School of Excellence, PM Modi said that in the last two decades, there has been an unprecedented change in the field of education in Gujarat. 20 years ago, 20 out of 100 children did not go to school. That is, one-fifth was left out of education. Many of the children who went to school dropped out of school as soon as they reached the eighth standard. It was also unfortunate that the condition of the daughters was worse. Earlier girls were not sent to school.

Defense Expo-22 inaugurated in Gandhinagar

Earlier, the PM inaugurated the Defense Expo-22 in Gandhinagar. Also laid the foundation stone of the new airbase of the 52nd Wing of Air Force at Deesa in North Gujarat. During the inauguration, the Prime Minister said that this is the first such Defense Expo in the country in which only Indian companies are participating. Only Made in India defense equipment has been included.

 

During the 12th edition of Defense Expo-22, Modi said that the Defense Forces will release a list of 101 items whose imports will be banned. With these 411 defense goods can be purchased only at the local level.

 

HTT-40 unveiled

PM unveiled HTT-40 at Defense Expo. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited ie HAL has made HTT-40 trainer aircraft for the Air Force. The Air Force needs about 106 trainer aircraft. The Air Force currently has 260 trainer aircraft, while the sanctioned strength is 388. The Air Force has 75 aircraft PC-7 Mark-2 Basic Trainer in the form of trainer aircraft. The 86 Kirans are Mark-1 and Mark 1A which are intermediate jet trainers.

 

Defense exports increased by 8 times

PM Modi also shared facts related to the export of the defense sector and its increasing popularity. He said – The make in India concept is becoming the success story of Defense Zone. India's defense exports have increased 8 times in the last 8 years. In 2021-2022, India's defense export has been around Rs 13,000 crore and in the coming time, we have set a target to reach Rs 40,000 crore.

 

The world's expectations from India increased - PM

After the inauguration, PM Modi said that today from international security to global trade, maritime security has emerged as a global priority. In such a situation, the world's expectations of India have increased. And India will continue to make every effort to meet these expectations. This Defense Expo is also a symbol of global trust towards India.

 

Benefits should not be limited to India: PM Modi

The PM said that because of the future possibilities in space, India will have to increase this preparation further. Defense forces will have to make innovations. India's power in space should not be limited and its benefits should not be limited only to Indians, it is also our mission and vision.

 

Lessons learned from the Russo-Ukraine War

Deepak Shinde, an independent director of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, who came to the Defense Expo, said that we should not depend on other countries for our security needs, because we saw in the Ukraine war how our dependence on Russia caused problems. That is why the emphasis has been on self-reliance in this expo.

 

Modi will stay in Gujarat for two days

Because of the upcoming elections, this is PM Modi's second visit to Gujarat in a month. Prime Minister Modi will gift development projects worth Rs 15,670 crore to the people of Gujarat. After this, the PM will start the Mission Schools of Excellence in Adalaj. On October 20, PM Modi will remain in Gujarat.
