Indo-China tensions: Why tents have China uprooted from Galvan? This is how China responded

Amidst reports of the withdrawal of the forces of India and China, the Foreign Ministry of China has stated on this issue. China has said that both countries are moving towards reducing tension on the border. However, China did not say clearly in its statement whether its army had retreated or not.

News agency Reuters asked Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Chao Lijian, "According to Indian media reports, China has retreated with tents and equipment from the Galvan Valley, where there was a clash between the two countries." Can you confirm it has happened?

In response, Chao Lijian said, "The Chinese and Indian troops held the third round of commander-level talks on June 30. Both sides agreed that they would execute the things for which the commander level of the last two rounds was The talks were agreed and we have taken effective steps towards reducing the tension on the border. We hope that India will cover the same distance from its side, take strong steps to implement the agreement between the two, China Will remain in contact through military and diplomatic channels and work with China to reduce tensions in border areas. "

According to Reuters, the steps taken on Monday were important in reducing the tension between India and China on LAC. But it will not have much effect on the vigilance of the army, their preparations, and the preparations being done in the mountainous areas of Ladakh for a long time.

Experts say that the army will have to be prepared to deal with the new realities of the border where the blood was shed after more than five decades last month.

The biggest reason for this is the high level of mistrust between the two armies which has arisen due to several incidents on the border in the last nine weeks.

After the commander-level talks between the two countries, the forces of the two countries in the Galvan sector started the process of retreat. Despite this, violent clashes took place in the Galvan Valley on 15 June.

The wounds of the violence in Galvan Valley are still fresh and it will take time to heal them. It is being said that in the process of reducing the tension between the two countries, India is doubly alert and taking every step carefully. This means that the whole process can take a lot of time.

Reuters quoted a senior army official as saying that it may take two to three weeks to take the initial steps in intense areas. Only then will there be a meeting between the army commanders and then the next step will be taken. This means that the deployment of the army will drag on for a few weeks, if not months.

The Army is also concerned that despite the initial steps being taken, as long as the Chinese Army is present in large numbers of LAC, China can walk in the reverse direction at any time. Therefore, the Indian Army will not relax from its side, nor will it think about reducing the troops from the areas.

Army and big weapons will be removed gradually, keeping in mind how much army or weapon the other side is removing. On Sunday, talks were held between National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Both countries had agreed to withdraw the forces and bring peace on the border.

Doval and Wang have also met earlier in 2018 and 2019. On June 17, two days after the death of 20 soldiers in Galvan Valley, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar also had a conversation with Wang Yi.

In its statement on Monday, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that Doval and Wang agreed to speed up the process of reducing stress on LAC and end the process soon.

In its official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said that "both sides will ensure de-escalation in a phased manner". The Foreign Ministry said that the two sides "emphasized again that the LAC should be strictly respected" and "should not take unilateral action to change the status quo" and "try to avoid any such incident in the future Which can cause unrest and instability in the border areas "

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in its statement that the two sides welcomed the progress achieved in recent military and diplomatic meetings, agreed to continue negotiating and consulting, and to take early steps to ensure a commander-level consensus. Emphasis on lifting.
