Russia-Ukraine Conflict: 25,000 Luhansk Residents Cross Russia's Border Amid War

Russo-Ukraine has created panic among its residents amid the outbreak of war. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the LPR Emergency Ministry said about 25,000 residents of the self-declared Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) are fleeing the escalation of violence in the Donbass and have already crossed the Russian border. On Friday, the LPR and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) announced the evacuation of their citizens in Russia's Rostov region as tensions escalated on the contact line.

Residents evicted from private cars

The spokesman told the Russian Acting Emergency Situations Minister that 25,000 LPR citizens had crossed the border, who were evacuated using private cars. He said that at present three more convoys are being made with a total of 10,000 refugees.

Ukrainian army attacked

Let us tell you that the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), which has declared itself an independent country from Ukraine, said on the previous day that Ukrainian forces have attacked its territory, which includes Zelenaya Rosha. However, the LPR is also recognized internationally as part of Ukraine. The LPR representative office at the Giant Center on Control and Command (GCCC) gave this information on Friday. A spokesman for the LPR mission said Ukrainian military forces had violated the ceasefire for the 29th time in the past 24 hours, using mortar shells as well as artillery and anti-tank missiles.

The leader of Luhansk had appealed to go to Russia

After the Luhansk explosion in eastern Ukraine, Luhansk leader Leonid Paschnik called on his citizens to go to Russia as soon as possible to save them from the bloodshed. Significantly, this decision has given rise to Western fears that Russia may attack this pretext. Let us tell you that more than 14,000 people lost their lives in the separatist conflict in eastern Ukraine in 2014.
