fail to detect illness early
The survey revealed that the delay in getting an insurance claim for senior citizens is because they are not able to inform the insurance company soon after hospitalization. Also, they stay in the hospital for a long time. Apart from this, the cost of treatment is high. In such a situation, it takes time for the insurance companies to settle all this.
6 times the higher premium
If a 30-year-old person buys some health insurance and his premium is Rs 10,365, then the same premium for senior citizens becomes Rs 31,905. For a person of 45 years, this premium becomes Rs 15,239.
