Researchers at Ben-Gurion University of Israel have created an electro-optical corona test kit that gives the results in a minute. In this, samples are taken from the nose, throat and blows for examination. This shows who is corona positive and who is infected without symptoms. Researchers claim, this kit gives up to 90% accurate results. A test kit costs just Rs 3800.

This is how the kit works

According to the researchers, certain types of sensors have been used in the kit, which are specifically used to identify the virus. When the patient blows air into the test kit, the viruses reach the sensor through droplets. A cloud system is connected to this sensor. Analyzes the sensor system to tell whether the patient's report is positive or negative.

It is not necessary to have a lab for this test

Researchers say the cost of the test kit is lower than other PCR tests. This test can be done anywhere, there is no need for a lab. This test kit will be helpful in places like airport, border, stadium, where rapid test is required.

No need to wait for hours now

Researcher Prof. According to Sarusi, coronavirus particles are like nano particles. They range in size from 100 to 140 nanometers. The PCR kit identifies and reports the virus's RNA and DNA and takes several hours to do so. At the same time, within one minute in the new test, it is told whether the patient is positive or negative.

Preparations for approval from FDA

According to researcher Professor Sarussi, this test kit has produced much better results since the beginning of the trial. With this help, more patients can be screened in less time. Preparations are being made to take approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to make the kit available to the public soon.
