Lord Surya is considered to be the owner of the entire body of a human being, so Lord Surya is worshipped on this special festival. For those humans who want the welfare of their body, they do Chhath Mahavrat. Along with this, many kinds of desired fruits are attained by observing Chhath fast.''

The chief priest further said, ''All the devotees who want children, this fast gives them special fruits. Apart from this, everyone's wishes are fulfilled in this great festival. On this day, Lord Surya is worshipped, so Chhath Mahaparva is considered very special.''

Talking about the importance of Chhath in the land of Bihar, the chief priest said, ''Chhath festival is celebrated all over the world but it started in Bihar. It is believed that Chhath was started from Dev Surya Mandir of Bihar. This great festival is celebrated with great pomp in Bihar. Seeing this faith of the people of Bihar, people from outside also started doing it.''
