Neither did they know Hindi nor Sanskrit well, yet as soon as the three Italian women sang Mangal Bhavan Amangal Haari, Dravahu Sudsarath Ajir Bihari, Ram Siyaram Siyaram Jai-Jai Ram... in tune and rhythm, the atmosphere of the Chief Minister's residence became devotional. One after the other, they kept reciting verses from Ramayana. After this, when these women sang Shiv Tandava Stotra and Mahishasur Mardini Stotra, the Chief Minister also greeted them with folded hands.

The delegation from Italy met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence on Sunday. These women, who returned from Prayagraj Mahakumbh, also shared their experiences of Mahakumbh with the Chief Minister. Under the leadership of Mahi Guru, founder and trainer of the Meditation and Yoga Center in Italy, his followers made a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister on Sunday.

Deeply experienced Indian traditions

The group that returned after bathing in Prayagraj Mahakumbh said that they deeply experienced Indian traditions. The women of the delegation gained spiritual experience by being a part of Naga sadhus, bhajan-kirtan, and religious rituals in Mahakumbh.

CM Yogi said - Very good.

The women said that the organization of Mahakumbh is not only a religious event, but it is also a live display of Indian culture, traditions, and spirituality. The women said that the depth of Indian culture and its spirituality have impressed them a lot. The Chief Minister also praised this team by saying 'very good'.

Maryam of France is now Kamakhya Giri, Bankiya Shivani Bharti of Italy.

Let us tell you, that three foreign women, who were bound in the trap of Sanatan Dharma, also became Naga Sanyasini on Sunday and after getting free from the illusion and attachment, dedicated their lives to the Akhara. These women include Maryam from Cognac Town of France, Bankiya from Venice city of Italy, and Mokshata Rai of Nepal.

Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara gave the initiation of sanyas to all three with rituals. After bathing in the Ganga, they were made to wear white clothes and shave their heads. Then they were declared sanyasnis after performing Pinddaan. After getting the new name, everyone wore saffron. Mariam was a teacher in a private school, while Bankia teaches yoga. After taking sanyaas, Mariam has got a new name Kamakhya Giri. Whereas, Bankia has now become Shivani Bharti. Similarly, Mokshita Rai of Nepal has got the name Mokshita Giri.
