On the other hand, in Bangladesh, Jaishankar said, 'It is natural that we will talk to the current government. We have to accept that political changes have taken place and they can be dangerous. Here we have to pay attention to the reciprocity of each other's interests.'
About Maldives, Bangladesh, he said, 'There have been ups and downs in our approach towards Maldives. There is a lack of a certain stability here. This is a relationship in which we have invested very deeply and there is a recognition in the Maldives that this relationship is a stabilizing force.'

On Afghanistan, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said, 'People-to-people ties are strong at the social level. After reviewing our Afghan policy today, we are very clear about our interests. We are not confused by the inherited intelligence that is before us.
