External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar attended a book release ceremony in Delhi. During this, he talked about the issues related to Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Maldives. He said that neighbors are always a puzzle. Tell me which country is there which does not have challenges with its neighbors. At the same time, on talks with Pakistan and relations with it, the Foreign Minister said that the phase of talks with the neighboring country is over, how to imagine relations with it.

Pakistan sent an invitation to PM Modi

Let us tell you, that Pakistan has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting to be held in Islamabad in October. According to a local newspaper, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said during the weekly press conference that invitations have been sent to the heads of countries to attend the meeting to be held on October 15-16. An invitation has also been sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Article 370 has ended: Foreign Minister

He further said on relations with Pakistan that every action reacts. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Article 370 has been abolished. In such a situation, what kind of relationship should we think about with Pakistan? He clarified that India can no longer see terrorism and dialogue together and Pakistan will have to reconsider its policy if it wants to talk with India.

We tried to talk many times

This statement of the Foreign Minister reflects the tension in India-Pakistan relations. He said, 'We made many efforts to talk with Pakistan in the past, but it was not possible due to their double policy on the issue of terrorism. Now the time has come for Pakistan to understand that for talks it will have to eliminate terrorism.'

Will talk to the Bangladesh government

On the other hand, in Bangladesh, Jaishankar said, 'It is natural that we will talk to the current government. We have to accept that political changes have taken place and they can be dangerous. Here we have to pay attention to the reciprocity of each other's interests.'

About Maldives, Bangladesh, he said, 'There have been ups and downs in our approach towards Maldives. There is a lack of a certain stability here. This is a relationship in which we have invested very deeply and there is a recognition in the Maldives that this relationship is a stabilizing force.'

'People-to-people ties are strong at the social level'

On Afghanistan, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said, 'People-to-people ties are strong at the social level. After reviewing our Afghan policy today, we are very clear about our interests. We are not confused by the inherited intelligence that is before us. We must understand that Afghanistan with the presence of America is very different from Afghanistan without the presence of America.'
