
JEE Main 2022 Application Date Extends: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application deadline for the country's biggest joint entrance exam for admission to engineering courses. NTA said in an official update that the date of application for JEE Main 2022 has been extended till April 5.
Earlier the last date was 31st March. Notification in this regard has also been issued by NTA. NTA said that this decision has been taken in the interest of the students. Interested candidates can register by applying at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

This year JEE exam is being conducted in two phases in April and May. The first attempt of JEE is proposed from April 21 to May 4. JEE Main will be held on 21st April, 24th April, 25th April, 29th April, 1st and 4th May.
12 more cities added to overseas hubs
The notification released by the NTA states that 12 more centers have been added to the list of overseas examination centers. Representative organizations of people of Indian origin living abroad were demanding to increase the examination center. Which has been accepted by NTA. Career Counseling Expert Amit Ahuja said that according to the notice issued by NTA, now the JEE-Main exam will be conducted in 25 cities abroad. Earlier it was proposed in 12 cities.
Now 13 additional exam centers have been added which are Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, USA, and Vietnam also this year JEE- Centers have been set up for the main examination.
More than eight lakh applications were received till March 31
Ahuja said that till the pre-determined last date i.e. March 31, more than eight lakh 50 thousand applications had been received for the first phase of JEE-Main. With the extension of the date of application by five more days, the number of applicants is also expected to increase. However, this will delay the candidates getting information about the exam city i.e. exam city. Because the exam city information will be announced only after the application process is over.
