A major change has been made in the dates of JEE Main 2022, one of the biggest entrance examinations in the country, for admission to engineering courses. NTA i.e. National Testing Agency has changed the dates for the first phase of JEE Main Examination 2022 on Monday, March 14. Its information has been released by NTA on its official website. This year JEE Main exam is being conducted in two phases.
The first phase of the JEE-Main examinations was proposed from April 16 to 21, but these examination dates have been changed due to the objections of students clashing with the board examinations.
Career Counseling Expert Amit Ahuja said that according to the new schedule, now JEE exam will be conducted from April 21 to May 04, 2022. In this, a new schedule of examination has been issued between 21, 24, 25, and 29 April and 01 and 04 May 2022.
JEE Main: Having exam centers in other cities would cause problems
Actually, for the first time, the JEE-Main exam is going to be held in the middle of the 12th board exams. In such a situation, if the examination center of a JEE aspirant does not come to his city, then a big problem would arise for him. As per the old exam schedule, CBSE students and candidates who have an additional biology subject were challenged to appear for the JEE-Main exam to be held on May 28 and 29, because their JEE-Main and board exam centers are different. If it happens in different cities, they could have missed anyone's paper if the journey was delayed due to some reason.
JEE Main admit card will be issued in the second week of April
Ahuja told that the 12th examinations of many state boards are to be held in March and April, due to which the JEE-Main proposed between April 16 and April 21 was colliding with the examination date of one or the other board. For example, the Biology exam is to be held in Rajasthan Board on April 16. According to the notification issued on the website of NTA and JEE-Main, students will be issued the first stage exam city information in the first week of April and the admit card in the second week.
Three and a half lakh candidates registered in JEE Main
So far, more than three lakh 50 thousand candidates have registered for JEE Main 2022. Ahuja said that after the change in the dates, now only 19 days are left between the first and second phases of JEE Main. Earlier, more than one month was being given to the students on the released dates. In such a situation, now the students will have to practice for both the phases of JEE-Main and the study of board examinations in the stipulated time.
