
The application process for the second session of the country's biggest engineering entrance exam i.e. JEE Main April session (JEE MAIN) is going on. So far, more than 50 thousand new students have applied April exam, who had not applied for the January session earlier and are applying for the April session for the first time. The last date to apply for JEE Main April session is March 12, 2023.
JEE Main 2023 April Session FAQs released for April session
Career counseling expert Amit Ahuja told that according to the FAQ issued by the National Testing Agency regarding JEE Main April session, such questions in the JEE Main exam, which will be dropped if any type of mistake is found, include multiple correct questions in section A. Marks will be given to all the students, whether the students attempt them or not. Whereas in Section B, numerical value-based questions will be given dropped marks only to those students who have attempted that question.
JEE Main 2023 April Session 75 out of 90 questions to be attempted
Significantly, 90 questions will be asked in JEE Main exam. The question paper will be divided into two parts subject-wise. There will be Section A and Section B in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. In section A, 20 multiple-choice questions will be given in each subject. Whereas in section B, numerical value based 10 questions will be given, and out of these 10 students will have to solve any five questions. In this way, a chance will be given to solve 75 questions out of a total of 90 questions in the whole paper.
JEE Main April 2023 Negative marking for wrong answers
Each question will be of four marks, with this, four marks will be given for the correct answer to multiple choice questions, and there will be a negative marking of one mark for a wrong answer, along with this, four marks will be given for correct answer to numerical value based questions and one mark will be given for wrong answer. There will be no negative marking of one mark on the answer. Thus the total question paper will be 300 marks.
