The border conflict between India and Pakistan has been ongoing since partition. There is a firing on the LoC every day. The military forces of both countries keep fighting for Kashmir. This conflict is not of today, there has been a war between India and Pakistan even before this.

 

In the Kargil War in 1999, India and Pakistan were in front of each other, and Indian brave soldiers liberated the high peaks of Kargil from the occupation of Pakistan. Many soldiers were martyred in this war but victory was given to India in the Kargil war. India's glorious victory and the martyrdom of Indian soldiers were recorded forever in the pages of history. Every year 26 July is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate the victory of Kargil and the sacrifice of the martyrs.

But Pakistani incursions into Indian territory across the Line of Control continued.

The Kargil War broke out in 1999 due to a border dispute between the armies of India and Pakistan. The Pakistani army captured the high peaks of Kargil in the Indian territory, in response the Indian army carried out "Operation Vijay".

India's brave soldiers captured Tiger Hill and other outposts, chasing Pakistani intruders. This war between India and Pakistan continued for more than 60 days in Kargil, Ladakh. 2 lakh Indian soldiers took part in the war.

To make the mission of the army successful, many brave sons sacrificed their lives, one of whom is Captain Vikram Batra. On 26 July 1999, the Indian Army declared victory in the war. Along with the martyrdom of 527 soldiers of the Indian Army, 357 soldiers of Pakistan also lost their lives in the Kargil War.
