Even after denying the possibility of a shortage of coal and power crisis in the country, many states are constantly talking about the shortfall in coal supply and deepening power crisis. The government is constantly talking about improving the supply of coal. It has been said by the government that this time not only the production has increased as compared to earlier, but the supply has also been increased. The government also says that due to the boom in the economy, the electricity demand has increased. Because of this, the power plants have already produced more power units than before.

In a tweet made by the Ministry of Coal, it has been told that in the current financial year, about 15 percent more coal has been dispatched. At the same time, Bharat Coking Coal Limited has made a tweet about increasing the production of coal by about 21.4 percent. Apart from this, Mahanadi Coal Field Limited has also made a tweet regarding the dispatch of 62 rakes full of coal from Talcher. In a tweet, MCL said that they have dispatched around 5.34 lakh tonnes of coal, out of which about 4.25 lakh tonnes have been sent to power plants.

According to the data, 59.80 metric tonnes of coal was dispatched in September 2021, which was much higher than the year 2019 and 2020 in the same period.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed the power system through video conferencing. On behalf of the CM, the chairman of UPPCL has also been directed to ensure adequate supply of coal to the power plants in the state and take all necessary steps.

On behalf of the Delhi government, it has been said that now the electricity demand has come down as compared to earlier. He has also rejected the statement of the Center in which it was said that there was no shortage of coal and power crisis.
