Lockdown Extension: Kejriwal speaks to PM Modi - extend lockdown across the country till 30th April

New Delhi, Agencies. Lockdown Extension, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with Chief Ministers of all states through video conferencing continues. During this meeting, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has suggested to the Prime Minister in PM Modi's video conferencing with the Chief Ministers that the lockdown should be extended across the country by 30 April. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has earlier supported the extension of the lockdown.

 

The Corona crisis is increasing in the country. In the last 24 hours, more than 1000 new cases have been reported in India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is having a meeting with Chief Ministers of all the states through video conferencing for the 21 days lockdown in the country. The Prime Minister's meeting with the Chief Ministers is considered to be very important.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is talking with Chief Ministers of all the states of the country through video conferencing. During this meeting, PM Modi was seen wearing a face mask (Gamcha). In this important meeting with the Prime Minister, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chief Ministers of other states including Telangana CM KCR Rao have joined through video conferencing. All the Chief Ministers are discussing the future of lockdown in their state.

 

It is believed that during this meeting, Prime Minister Modi can discuss to extend or end the lockdown period ending next week i.e. 14 April. According to the Health Ministry, the number of deaths due to corona virus in India has increased to 239, while the total number of corona virus positive cases has reached 7447. Prior to this, many states have started increasing it due to the spread of corona virus. It has appealed. These include Chief Ministers of several states including Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Delhi, Uttarakhand.

 

The Odisha government has already extended the lockdown till April 30. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik went a step ahead and announced the lockdown of the Chief Ministers before the meeting with the PM.

 

Let me tell you, this is the second time Prime Minister Modi is interacting with the Chief Ministers through video conferencing after the lockdown was imposed. During an April 2 interaction with the Chief Ministers, PM Modi discussed the means to deal with the spread of the deadly virus.
