In this important meeting with the Prime Minister, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chief Ministers of other states including Telangana CM KCR Rao have joined through video conferencing. All the Chief Ministers are discussing the future of lockdown in their state.
It is believed that during this meeting, Prime Minister Modi can discuss to extend or end the lockdown period ending next week i.e. 14 April. According to the Health Ministry, the number of deaths due to corona virus in India has increased to 239, while the total number of corona virus positive cases has reached 7447. Prior to this, many states have started increasing it due to the spread of corona virus. It has appealed. These include Chief Ministers of several states including Telangana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Delhi, Uttarakhand.
The Odisha government has already extended the lockdown till April 30. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik went a step ahead and announced the lockdown of the Chief Ministers before the meeting with the PM.
