The first Amrit Snan (Royal Bath) is going on today in the Maha Kumbh 2025, which started on Paush Purnima. On the festival of Makar Sankranti, Naga sadhus of many akhadas have taken a holy dip in the Sangam, the Naga sadhus of Mahanirvani were the first to take a dip of faith in the Amrit Snan of Mahakumbh. An amazing view of Amrit Snan is being seen on the banks of the Sangam. Devotees are also taking a dip of faith while chanting Har Har Mahadev, Jai Shri Ram. There is tight security on the Akhada road leading to the 'Snaan' area. Police, PAC, mounted police, and paramilitary forces have been deployed along with the Akhadas.

Let us tell you that the time for the bath of the saints and Nagas of the Akhadas is fixed for Amrit Snan. First of all, the saints of Mahanirvani and Atal Akhara took a bath. The saints of this Akhada left the camp at around 5:15 in the morning. Reached Sangam at 6:15 and took Amrit Snan for about 40 minutes. After this, the saints of Niranjani and Anand Akhara took a bath at 7.05 am. In the same sequence, the saints of Juna, Aawahan, and Panch Agni Akhara took a bath together at 8 am.

Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gyan Puri of Mahanirvan Akhara took Amrit Snan.

After taking Amrit Snan on Makar Sankranti, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gyan Puri of Mahanirvan Akhara said that there is a lot of crowd here, but the way everything flows is amazing. Everyone finds a place for a holy bath. I think it is possible to see all this here.

Devotees camped on Akhara Marg from late at night to take the dust off their feet.

While going for Amrit Snan, a large number of devotees camped on Akhara Marg from late at night to take the dust off the feet of Naga saints. The security personnel deployed here removed them several times, but after some time the devotees came there again. Till late night, thousands of devotees were seen camping on Akhara Marg. Rajkumar, his wife Urmila, and family members who came from Niwari of Madhya Pradesh say that they got this opportunity after many years. They will take this dust from their feet and go to their village.

Heavy police force deployed on the way of the Akharas

On Tuesday, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the Amrit Snan of the Akharas will last for about nine and a half hours. It will take more than 12 hours to leave the camp and come back. The heavy police force is deployed on both sides of the way of the Akharas.

Everywhere, Har Har Gange's proclamation

A crowd of devotees has gathered in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. Some are moving forward reciting Hanuman Chalisa, while others are moving towards Sangam with the proclamation of Har Har Gange. People are reaching the ghat by walking several kilometers to take a dip in the Sangam amidst the shivering cold.

Participation of foreigners is also a special

The participation of foreign devotees who have come to the Maha Kumbh fair has also become a special center of attraction. Devotees who have come from various countries in America, Europe, Australia, and Asia are getting overwhelmed by Indian culture and spirituality. They feel inner peace by participating in yoga, meditation, and Satsang on the banks of the Ganges.

Hail-jaikaar at every step...

Amidst the wait of 144 years, unflinching faith, unfathomable devotion, joy and zeal, and the rising tide of emotions, Maha Kumbh became a medium to unite millions of devotees by becoming a path of chanting and penance and virtue-salvation. There was a competition to witness this intangible cultural heritage of humanity, to realize virtues, and to witness the biggest unique moment of human civilization.

Siya Ram Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram. Ganga Maiya Ki Jai. Bolo Bajrang Bali Ki Jai. Such cheers are echoing everywhere in the fair area of Maha Kumbh. People are cheering according to their faith. Somewhere a group of sadhus is singing Ramdhun on the beat of dholak, somewhere a group of sadhus is singing bhajans with manjira. People were also donating to them according to their faith.

CM Yogi congratulated the first Amrit Snan.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath has shared pictures of Maha Kumbh on Twitter and wrote that it is a living form of our Sanatan culture and faith. Today, on the auspicious occasion of the great festival of faith 'Makar Sankranti', congratulations to all the devotees who earned virtue by taking the first Amrit Snan at the Triveni Sangam in Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj.
