An important decision has been taken between Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and the ongoing tussle in the government on Ajan and Hanuman Chalisa in Maharashtra. The government has ordered that before installing loudspeakers at religious places, permission will have to be taken from the Home Department. According to the latest circular of the Home Department, permission will have to be taken from the Police Commissioner's office to install the speaker from now on. A meeting is to be held between Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on this issue this afternoon.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has given an ultimatum to remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 3. Meanwhile, Nashik Police Commissioner Deepak Pandey said that by May 3, not only mosques but all religious places will have to take permission for loudspeakers installed in their places.
