On Sunday, three people were killed and four others injured in a powerful blast in Manipur’s capital city of Imphal.
A senior police officer told to the reporters, “It was an IED (Improvised explosive device) blast; the device was planted by the roadside near Khuyathong area which is much closed to Imphal market. One person died on the spot while two others died in a hospital. All of them were migrant labourers.”
No arrest has been made so far. No militant group has claimed responsibly for the blast either.
While the deputy chief minister Gaikhangam accompanied by the principal secretary home Dr Suresh babu and DGP Manipur Saheed Ahmed visited the injured in hospital.
