
Manipur Violence Violence has once again been witnessed in the northeastern state of Manipur. The latest incident is of Kongba in Imphal, where some people set fire to the house of Union Minister of State for External Affairs RK Ranjan Singh. Officials said the Union minister was not at home at the time of the incident.
Violence despite curfew
Despite the curfew in Imphal, the crowd had reached the minister's house. The security personnel deployed at the minister's residence outnumbered the crowd, but they too failed to stop the violence.
The minister was also attacked last month
Officials said there was no report of any casualty. Let us inform you that a similar attack had taken place on the minister a month back as well. During the attack in May, security personnel fired in the air to disperse the crowd.
