In addition to smashing a half-century, Pooran added 94 runs for the second wicket alongside opener Mitchell Marsh, providing the Super Giants with a solid platform. Pooran completed his fifty in just 16 balls, hitting a six over fine leg off Chahar. However, shortly thereafter, Pooran was caught by wicketkeeper Ryan Rickelton off the bowling of Bosch.
